Rockwell Automation installs LED lighting in clock tower

The Rockwell Automation Inc. clock tower has completed a massive conversion of its lighting system expected to reduce energy use by 81 percent and save about $750,000 over the life of the new lights, the company said Wednesday. The company has replaced the clock tower's fluorescent lights with more than 10,000 new light emitting diodes (LEDs). Rockwell is a Milwaukee-based manufacturer of industrial automation systems, controls and software. The Milwaukee landmark — the largest four-sided clock in the Western Hemisphere — celebrated its 50th anniversary Wednesday."The new clock tower lighting demonstrates our commitment to environmental excellence," said Jeff Wolf, Rockwell Automation manager of global workplace services.
Reduced energy demand for the LED lighting is expected to eliminate 7.2 million pounds of carbon dioxide over an estimated 20 years of usage, according to Murphy Energy Systems, a Milwaukee-based company hired by Rockwell Automation to oversee the project. This machine of Stone crusher manufacturers adopts frequency conversion transfer speed electric motor to feed material, and with lengthened type and strengthened type of big door-opening conditioner which equipped with axial steam spraying device, also there is strong magnetic security device, overload protective device and outside-machine material discharging mechanism. This has the environmental impact of planting 44 acres of trees, removing 34 cars from the road and saving 21,937 gallons of gasoline every year."The energy savings are equivalent to powering 33 homes annually," said Scott Garland, Rockwell Automation senior facility engineer. "We'll also eliminate the maintenance expenses we used to pay when we had to replace more than 500 fluorescent lights every two years."
In addition to using 60% less energy, the lights are designed to be maintenance-free, requiring no bulb replacements for approximately six years. LED lights are extremely durable and robust in challenging environments, such as high-traffic outdoor areas. The vast reduction in maintenance shortens the payback period, allowing DePaul to realize a quicker return on their investment in the energy-efficient lighting."Parking garages are an ideal applications for energy-saving LED lighting, given that parking garage lights are on 24 hours per day,Stone Crusher is a component of the rock-breaking equipment that serves to break down and reduce the size of Crushing plant material. It is generally composed of primary rock-breaking equipment depending on the combination of aggregate. In general, consist of primary crusher and jaw types crusher, gyrator crushers, impactor crushers, or a single roll crusher is capable of reducing the size of large size stone. seven days per week," said Mel Interiano, CEO, Evolucia, Inc. "In addition to consuming less than half the energy, LED lights are more durable than traditional metal halide lights, making them ideal to stand up to the constant vibration of traffic.Based on customer's request, we can configure diverse sand producing creation line and stone creation line.Cone crusher is generally set up over the concrete foundation. Offered the pounds of a larger impact crusher, very poor operating conditions, and also the machine in operation once more with excellent force of inertia to promote the inspiration and also the device phylogenetic vibration. By choosing Evolucia LED lighting fixtures, DePaul and Appalachian State will enjoy savings in both energy usage and maintenance while increasing the visibility and light quality in their campus garage and parking lot."Ernie Nathan of Illinois Solar Products facilitated the sale of the Evolucia lights to DePaul. Illinois Solar Products is a distributor for several manufacturers of lighting products to a variety of customers. The company conducts a thorough study of the customer's energy usage and then designs short and long-term strategies for energy savings, providing a detailed "return on investment" spreadsheet. They also complete all paperwork for applicable rebates and credits.
