Array Technologies to supply 268 MW for solar photovoltaic project

Array Technologies Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer and supplier of solar tracking systems, will supply its DuraTrack horizontal, single-axis solar trackers for a large photovoltaic plants. The utility plant will be located in California's Imperial Valley and will have an installed capacity of 268 MW DC. The solar power plant received full notice to proceed November 9, 2012.The southern California installation will be interconnected to the San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) grid as a qualified facility for a large generator interconnection Agreement (LGIA) under California Independent System Operator Corporation jurisdiction. For this project, the DuraTrack will support First Solar's thin-film modules. It was also attended by the Sand washing machine associations from across the state. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in Gurgaon on Tuesday. Array Technologies' intelligent engineering provides a material-efficient tracking design for mounting these frameless modules and enables the lowest levelized cost of energy possible for utility-scale PV power plants.Solar lamp
The trackers will be delivered over a 9-month period and the PV solar plant will come into operation progressively during the second half of 2013. A pioneer in the solar industry, Array Technologies has over 700 MW of installed product around the world and has recently entered into contracts to ship 900 MW over the next 12 months to meet the growing demand of the utility-scale PV market.Power station operators, knife sets Su said, will get to choose whether to sell all or only some of the electricity generated. They may also decide how much power to produce for their own needs, and how much if any that want to buy through State Grid. Most are expected to continue buying power through the grid and thus avoid running dry on cloudy days. Ren is working with computational materials scientists, including Grossman, to design better carbon photovoltaics by picking the right kinds of carbon nanomaterials.Big size stones are transferred to primary crusher through Cone crusher from hopper for first crushing, then the crushed materials are transferred to Impact Crusher through Belt Conveyor for secondary crushing. The crushed materials will be transferred to the vibrating screen, and separated to different sizes. With this guidance, Ren says, his lab has already made carbon solar cells that convert 5 percent of light energy into electricity, and he expects to go higher still.
Yet, NEA has yet to spell out all the details of the subsidy program. Thus, no one knows how much good it might do for solar power supply manufacturers."We still need to do a lot of work," said an NEA source. "At the moment, we just have a rough idea for subsidizing solar power distribution stations."The incentives would likely keep assembly lines humming for makers of solar panels and related equipment. But many companies and industry analysts reacted to the NEA and State Grid announcements with caution.Household scissors"Prospects are not bright for solar company orders for this year or next," said a source at a Jiangsu-based solar supplier. "Big firms should stop expanding and need to focus on upgrading their technologies. Small companies should try to survive."
